The Jack Hammer is our luxury 10×12 shack that fishes 4 and has 3 beds- 2 larger beds and 1 smaller bed. Sleeps 3 singles or up to 5 with 2 couples or younger kids who share a bed! The Jack Hammer is fully solar sufficient and runs off a temperature controlled propane furnace to keep you warm and cozy.
A 32” TV is on the wall to catch the game, watch a movie, or to amplify the screen on our underwater camera to watch all the action live! The Hammer has 4 rods, an assortment of lures and bait to help you track down the monsters lurking under the ice!
There is a outdoor porta potty right by the shack and solar lights all around. On warmer nights have a hot chocolate or a warm drink around our outdoor firepit! For the ultimate fishing and relaxing experience, the Jack Hammer is all you need for fishing solo, with a buddy, or up to 4 friends!

Follow the map to Tillicum Beach and it should take you right to the boat launch. Enter the ice and immediately head to the right. Follow the shacks down the ice until you see the Battle River Reelers Shacks. Park close to your shack and do not block the ice roads or pathways.
Our crews do their best to keep the snow cleared and the pathways smooth. Alot of our customers arrive in cars, weather depending. It is a good idea if you are bringing a car or small vehicle to check with management prior to arrival to determine the quality of the ice roads and access points.
1. The Shack is equipped with a smoke alarm, CO2 alarm and a fire extinguisher. Do NOT tamper with or touch these devices unless emergency.
2. Do not tamper with the heater unless to adjust temperature or light.
3. Do not leave shack unattended with furnace lit
4. Do not place anything near heater, especially combustibles.
5. Use propane only for fuel to furnace. Do not tamper with or take off tanks unless you are instructed to change the tank
6. Open window a few inches when using hot plate
7. The shack needs to be cleaned very well before leaving- Please follow the cleaning checklist
8. Do NOT clean fish inside the shack under any circumstances
9. Take your garbage with you off the ice
10. Do not urinate on the ice, use the porta potty provided.
11. Do not dump any liquids on the ice
12. Do NOT Smoke or vape in the shack- sensors will go off and will result in loss of damage deposit.
13. Do not throw butts or any garbage on the ice. Please dispose of butts and all garbage or waste properly. You are responsible for taking all garbage off the ice.
14. Open holes in the shack can be hazardous, please use caution at all times.
15. All gear, furniture, supplies and amenities including TV and cameras must be well taken care of and used with caution.
16. Please wash and dry all dishes used
17. Do not dump waste, fish carcasses, leftover bait, dishwater or anything else down the fishing holes.
18. Use rubbermaid to place fish in when pulling out of the holes to reduce slime and moisture in the shacks
19. Check out time is 11am. Please ensure everything is cleaned up and you vacate the shack no later than 11am. Overstaying without permission will result in fees coming off the Damage Deposit, Guests after you want to check in on time like you were able too.
20. Day use check in is at Noon.
21. Everything is inspected and checked prior to your arrival. You will be charged for any damages of any kind to the shack or its contents and gear. Everything is working and inspected before you entered so there is no exceptions and no excuses that it was like that.
22. You are close to a residential community so please no excessive noise after 10pm. You are allowed to play music just keep it at a respectful level. Also be respectful of your neighbours on the ice.
23. By Alberta law you are not allowed to consume alcohol outside of the Shack and are only allowed Alcohol in the shack if you are staying over night.
24. PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE
25. No pets are allowed in the shacks
26. Battle River Reelers Ice Shack Rentals and Direct Ventures Ltd are not liable for any injuries or damages caused while renting the shacks, inside or outside the shack. Each guest must sign the waiver form relieving the owners of all liability.
27. Cancellations must be made 14 days in advance of check in date. Credit will be given on a future trip within 1 year. Cancellations within 14 days will not receive a refund.
28. A damage/cleaning deposit of $400 must be given in advance. The damage/cleaning deposit will be returned after check out. Any damages and cleaning costs will be taken out of the deposit.
